Comunicado | Candidatos del Partido Ecologista Verde se comprometen con la campaña de Moratoria a los TLC

En un evento de presentación de sus candidaturas en el Parque Forestal, todos los candidatos del Partido Ecologista Verde conocieron los objetivos de la campaña de Moratoria a los Tratados de Libre Comercio y comprometieron su adhesión con la iniciativa presentada por la plataforma Chile Mejor sin TLC, la cual tiene como propósito que, en el caso de salir electos, se comprometen a no ratificar ni firmar nuevos TLC sin que se hagan antes los estudios pertinentes de los efectos que los existentes han tenido en la sociedad chilena.

“Nosotros estamos acá para contarles que no queremos más TLC, suscritos en forma secreta, sin que nadie se entere. Estos tratados afectan nuestra salud, nuestra capacidad de alimentarnos bien. Por eso pedimos a todos los candidatos que suscriban a nuestra campaña de Moratoria a los TLC para que, mientras no se analicen los efectos de éstos, no se firmen ni ratifiquen más acuerdos”, comentó Lucía Sepúlveda, de RAP-Chile y miembro también de Chile Mejor sin TLC.

Cristián Villarroel, miembro de la directiva del partido, comentó: “Para nosotros fue fundamental que la plataforma Chile Mejor sin TLC viniera a darnos a conocer la campaña de Moratoria ya que somos hermanos en las causas y en la lucha y estos temas a nosotros como partido nos movilizan de sobremanera”. Añadió que hay temas relevantes de destacar como la soberanía alimentaria, la consulta a pueblos originarios, que los TLC han marcado en la sociedad. “Los TLC deben ser observados, tienen que tener una moratoria y nosotros, los ecologistas, estamos comprometidos con la campaña”, recalcó Villarroel.

Por su parte, Ivo Vukusich, candidato a CORE por el Partido Ecologista Verde, se mostró feliz de poder contar con la presencia de la plataforma para el lanzamiento de los candidatos, “Nosotros entregamos todo nuestro apoyo para lo que significa la soberanía alimentaria, el tema de los medicamentos y el desarrollo de los países a costa de los beneficios de las grandes corporaciones”, agregó el candidato.
