Las participantes destacaron la masiva presencia de mujeres y desde ya se convocaron para rechazar la firma del TPP-11 el próximo 8 de marzo.
El conversatorio organizado por Chile Mejor sin TLC abordó el tema de los tratados de libre comercio desde la perspectiva de las trabajadoras analizando las reales consecuencias de éstos, como la precarización del trabajo y de la vida y la desregularización de políticas ambientales.
El encuentro contó con las presentaciones de Claudia Iriarte Dra en Derecho de la Universidad de Chile, especialista en género y políticas públicas; Claudia Mix, Diputada electa Partido Poder; Gael Yeomans, Diputada electa Izquierda Libertaria; Silvana del Valle, Vocera de la Red Chilena contra la violencia hacia las mujeres; Carolina Espinoza dirigente nacional de la Confusam y vocera de la Coordinadora No+AFP; Marco Kremerman investigador de la fundación Sol; Luciana Ghiotto, Argentina mejor sin TLC, investigadora en UBA; Francisca Fernández, Movimiento social por la recuperación del agua y la vida, Francisca Rodriguez, Asociación Nacional de Mujeres Rurales e Indigenas ANAMURI; Patricia Araya, Movimiento Autonomista.
Francisca Fernández, del Movimiento por el agua y los territorios, indicó que “los TLC desregulan e incentivan la flexibilización en la protección socioambiental, si ya Chile tiene organismos deficientes para tratar estos asuntos, la situación empeora con la firma de acuerdos comerciales. Es por esto que creemos que los tratados económicos son dañinos para el ecosistema, ya que fomenta la desprotección y la contaminación del suelo”, mencionó.
Por su parte, Francisca Rodríguez de la Asociación Nacional de Mujeres rurales e indígenas (Anamuri) comentó que incluso después de una década de lucha contra tratados que menoscaban la autonomía de los pueblos se sigue en la misma dirección: con acuerdos secretos y lenguaje difícil de entender, con un parlamento que no entiende lo que firma, porque todos los chilenos hemos estado negados de una información importante y de ser parte de un debate como este.
Por otro lado, las participantes discutieron en torno a las raíces de los acuerdos de libre comercio donde los principales beneficiados son los países desarrollados y una pequeña elite de los países en vías de desarrollo.
Patricia Araya del Movimiento Autonomista, opina que la firma de los TLC “es la manera en que hoy se articulan Capitalismo, colonialismo y patriarcado, las formas históricas de oprimirnos y dominarnos. Estos tratados nos dejan sin poder y nos quitan soberanía. Si siempre como pueblo hemos estado sometidos a las burguesías nacionales ahora también lo estamos a un poder global”, comentó.
En este sentido, las exponentes desacreditaron las aspiraciones del gobierno y las corporaciones de incluir una perspectiva de género a los nuevos acuerdos para mejorar la situación laboral en que se encuentran las mujeres de Chile y Latinoamérica, ya que estas iniciativas no se traducen en políticas reales que ataquen el problema directamente.
Finalmente, todas las participantes confluyeron en la importancia de unirse y formar redes de mujeres y hombres trabajadores para oponerse y resistir a las consecuencias perjudiciales de los tratados económicos firmados por el gobierno, en cuyas discusiones se excluye a la ciudadanía.
