Organizaciones interpelan a parlamentarios de la Araucanía por tratado comercial TPP

El gobierno de Chile suscribió un acuerdo internacional denominado TPP entre doce países del Pacífico, hecho a espalda de la ciudadanía según han denunciado numerosas organizaciones en Chile y que beneficia a los intereses de transnacionales.

Hoy, dicho tratado debe ser ratificado por el Congreso de la República cuando el ejecutivo interponga un proyecto de Ley para tal fin.

Ante esto, diversas organizaciones de la Araucanía, entre ellas: La Red de Acción por los Derechos Ambientales (RADA), Cinprodh, Gedes, AC Araucanía, Wallmapuwen, Grupo de Trabajo por Derechos Colectivos, Colectivo de Poetas Mapuche, Movimiento por la Unidad Docente, Agrupación Ecológica Educativa Rukarelmu, Centro de DDHH UFRO, Área comunicaciones Red Defensa Territorios, Observatorio Ciudadano, entre otros, interpelaron a los parlamentarios de la Región para que hagan pública y transparenten sus posiciones frente a este tratado.

Cabe consignar que diversos son las temáticas que regula el TPP, entre ellos: el comercio de lácteos, regulación laboral, derechos de autor, patentes, inversiones estatales y medio ambiente, entre otras temáticas las que dejaría en vulneración y atropello a buena parte de la población en estos temas según han denunciado las organizaciones.

Alejandra Parra de RADA, SEÑALÓ: “Exigimos a los parlamentarios que transparenten su voto, y que este sea en contra de este tratado, ya que ellos fueron electos para representar los intereses de la ciudadanía y no de empresas transnacionales. La ratificación de este tratado significa hipotecar la soberanía del País. Si un parlamentario decide votar a favor, es mejor que se retire del servicio público y se meta a trabajar directamente a las transnacionales. Nunca un tratado comercial había sido tan claro y directamente violador de los Derechos Humanos como este”, manifestó la dirigenta.

Otro aspecto que se aborda es la transgresión a los derechos indígenas y la delegación a competencia de instancias internacionales de comercio pro transnacionales para que intervengan en las políticas internas.

Las parlamentarios a los que se ha interpelado por parte de las organizaciones son: Mario Venegas, Jorge Rathgeb, Fuad Chahin, Diego Paulsen, Germpan Becker, René Saffirio, José Edwards, Joaquín Tuma, René Manuel García, Fernando Meza; y los senadores: Alberto Espina, Jaime Quintana, José García Ruminot y Eugenio Tuma.
