Chile Mejor sin TLC exige que senadores respondan solicitudes de inhabilitación para votar TPP-11

Hace más de dos meses organizaciones regionales entregaron peticiones de inhabilitación a Alejandro García-Huidobro, Rafael Prohens y Ena Von Baer. Los senadores aún no responden las cartas de sus electores. 

Representantes de Chile Mejor sin TLC entregaron hoy en la oficina de partes del Senado las cartas donde la ciudadanía organizada de las regiones de O’Higgins, Atacama y Los Ríos, solicitan que los senadores Alejandro García-Huidobro, Rafael Prohens y Ena Von Baer se inhabiliten en la votación del TPP-11. Estas peticiones están basadas en los conflictos de interés que presentan los parlamentarios, debido a que la aprobación del TPP-11 beneficiaría sus ganancias.

Así, la  declaración de intereses de Ena Von Baer acredita su participación en las sociedades Semillas Baer y Campex Baer, empresas dedicadas al fitomejoramiento y la producción de semillas, productos destacados en la página web de la DIRECON por el beneficio que tendrían en sus exportaciones una vez se aprobara el tratado. 

Igualmente la participación del Senador Alejandro García-Huidobro en las sociedades agrícolas Santa Denise, Las Rosas y Viña Machalí y de Rafael Prohens en la Agrícola Doña Berta Ltda también constituirían un conflicto de interés dado que la aprobación del TPP-11 presentaría numerosos beneficios para algunos exportadores de productos de la agroindustria, particularmente en el caso de los exportadores de uvas y vinos, según lo declarado por l Ministro de Agricultura y de la DIRECON.

 

Los integrantes de Chile Mejor sin TLC explicaron que estas cartas fueron entregadas hace meses en las oficinas regionales de cada parlamentario y parlamentaria, pero no han dado respuesta. 

“Todos estos senadores han sido requeridos en sus regiones, en sus oficinas en la semana distrital y no han tenido ninguna sensibilidad respecto de la posición de sus electores.  Además por Ley de Lobby hemos buscado tener entrevistas, pero solo algunos nos han recibido y una gran mayoría han cerrado las puertas, ellos están impidiendo una discusión a fondo y ni siquiera quieren escucharnos de modo individual”, comentó Lucía Sepúlveda, vocera de Chile Mejor sin TLC.

Las organizaciones sociales opositoras a la ratificación del Tratado Transpacífico reclamaron que además de las solicitudes de audiencia e inhabilitación, desde el Senado se han negado a responder otras misivas en que se solicitaba un mayor análisis del TPP-11.

“También queremos denunciar que a través de cartas formales entregadas a la oficina de partes al Presidente del Senado Jaime Quintana y al Presidente de la Comisión de Relaciones Exteriores, José Miguel Insulza se les solicitó hace varios meses que propiciaran que el TPP fuera revisado por todas las comisiones dada sus implicancias para el país y ni siquiera han tenido la deferencia de responder las cartas que hemos hecho llegar”, declaró Esteban Silva, vocero de Chile Mejor sin TLC.
