Chile Mejor sin TLC: No al TPP-11, sí a las demandas de las luchas sociales y territoriales

Las organizaciones que integran Chile Mejor sin TLC llamaron a la convergencia de las luchas sociales y a la solidaridad entre los movimientos ciudadanos

A mediodía de este miércoles 26 de junio, distintas organizaciones sindicales y movimientos socioambientales se reunieron a las afueras de los Tribunales de Justicia de Santiago para manifestarse en contra de la aprobación del TPP-11, que se discute en la Comisión de Relaciones Exteriores del Senado.

Las organizaciones ciudadanas que integran la Plataforma Chile Mejor Sin TLC, hicieron el llamado a manifestarse de distintas formas durante la semana distrital del Senado y así dar a conocer a los parlamentarios que el rechazo al TPP-11 es transversal.

Francisca Fernández, vocera del Comité Socioambiental de la Coordinadora Feminista 8M, considera que el TPP-11 ha abierto un debate histórico: “los Tratados  de Libre Comercio han sido el brazo histórico del Extractivismo, por eso la pelea contra el TPP-11 también es una pelea por cambiar de raíz la matriz productiva y energética del país. La gran pelea que tenemos  pendientes es la desprivatización de los bienes comunes, desprivatización del agua, de los territorios, de la salud, la educación.”

Durante la concentración, los participantes destacaron la importancia de que todas las luchas sociales converjan y las organizaciones sociales, ambientales y sindicales solidaricen con las demandas por los derechos fundamentales de los pueblos.

Para Mario Villanueva, integrante de la Coordinadora No Más AFP, “es fundamental la unidad de todas las organizaciones, de todo el pueblo para luchar contra estos tratados que nos quieren imponer, porque a lo que apuntan es a limitar la soberanía nacional”. De aprobarse este tratado no podremos terminar con las AFPs e imponer un sistema solidario, si logramos avanzar con esa lucha las corporaciones transnacionales, que son dueñas de las AFPs podrían recurrir a este tratado con la finalidad de impedir los cambios, declaró durante la instancia.

En la actividad también estuvieron presentes las centrales de trabajadores de Chile, cuyos dirigentes destacaron las verdaderas implicancias de los tratados de libre comercio para la clase trabajadora.

Nolberto Díaz, secretario general de la Central Unitaria de Trabajadores, afirmó que “los tratados de libre comercio no han traído ni progreso, ni desarrollo, ni más igualdad en Chile, lo que tenemos en Chile es más desigualdad, peor distribución del ingreso y muchas partes de nuestro país afectadas y dañadas ambientalmente”.

Por su parte Manuel Ahumada, presidente de la Central Clasista de Trabajadores y Trabajadoras, criticó la falta de transparencia respecto a estos tratados ya que: “no existe libre comercio, porque se trata de que metan mercadería de los grandes países a este país chiquitito que, dicen, también es libre de llevar su mercadería, pero también es libre de llevar la cuota de explotación del campesino y de explotación de la fuerza de trabajo en todos lados, es libre a costa de la polifuncionalidad y adaptabilidad en los contratos”, declaró.
