Organizaciones de Chile Mejor sin TLC: El TPP-11 debe salir definitivamente de la agenda legislativa

Con este tratado se va a perder más la soberanía del estado y no se va a hacer frente a los intereses de las empresas transnacionales.

Este lunes 7 de septiembre la Plataforma Ciudadana Chile Mejor sin TLC presentó una carta en la que solicitan al Senado que el TPP-11 sea retirado definitivamente de su tramitación en el Congreso. 

El texto donde se exige a los senadoras y senadores que respeten la voluntad popular y no aprueben este Tratado de Cooperación económica, fue firmado por más de 780 personas y  por más de 420 organizaciones nacionales e internacionales. 

Con el fin de dar cuenta de la entrega de la carta al Senado, la Plataforma Chile Mejor sin TLC realizó una presentación donde representantes de organizaciones adherentes de las regiones de Arica y Parinacota, Valparaíso, Santiago, Maule y Concepción dieron a conocer las consecuencias que traería la ratificación del TPP-11 en sus territorios. 

Alejandra Parra, Red de Acción por los Derechos Ambientales (RADA Araucanía), indicó que la aprobación del TPP-11 correspondería a “un atropello a los Derechos Humanos de los pueblos originarios, por ejemplo el TPP permite la apropiación de conocimiento tradicional de los pueblos sobre sus plantas medicinales y también porque la mayor parte de las inversiones de las transnacionales producto de los tratados de libre comercio se dan sobre territorios ancestrales de pueblos indígenas y esto significa un impacto enorme y desproporcionado sobre los pueblos originarios.”

Por su parte Tomás Lagomarsino, Fundación Equidad, opina que “este tratado viene a aumentar profundizar los monopolios de las transnacionales farmacéuticas haciendo todo lo contrario a lo que necesitamos en este momento que es que los avances científicos médicos puedan estar a disposición de la mayor cantidad de personas. Desde el sector salud hemos dicho que el TPP-11 va a afectar el acceso efectivo a medicamentos y que va a dar más poder a las transnacionales farmacéuticas” indicó el médico.  

Juan Jofré Cañipa, Comité de Iniciativa Arica y Parinacota, explica que sus preocupaciones son que “este tratado no está pasando por ningún tipo de consulta indígena, nosotros tenemos experiencia de lo que significa lidiar con los proyectos de inversión de distintas transnacionales de países que están asociados al TPP-11 como lo es Canadá, actualmente tenemos una serie de conflictos mineros activos, por ejemplo en el cerro Marqués que es un Mallku, un cerro sagrado”. Vemos que con este tratado se va a perder más la soberanía del estado y no se va a hacer frente a los intereses de estas empresas, nos preocupa el avance de este extractivismo, añadió Jofré, descendiente de Aymaras. 

La presentación culminó con el llamado de las organizaciones a que las personas en los distintos territorios reactiven el movimiento contra el TPP-11 y presionen a sus senadores y senadoras para que se saque este tratado de tabla legislativa. 

Adherentes nacionales e internacionales aprueban congelar el TPP-11

Las organizaciones integrantes de Chile Mejor sin TLC y que dieron inicio a esta iniciativa fueron: Ad Kimvn, ANAMURI, AntiMafia Chile, Cooperativa Verde, Confusam, FENPRUSS, Fundación Constituyente XXI, Fundación Equidad, OLCA, RADA y RAP-Chile. Al cabo de seis días las firmas se multiplicaron superando las mil adhesiones.

Entre los firmantes nacionales hay organizaciones como ACU Chile Artistas Callejeros Unidos de Chile, MAT, MODATIMA, la confederación Campesina Ranquil, Colegios profesionales de arquitectos, profesores y químico-farmacéuticos, la Comunidad Nacional de Sofware Libre, Defensa Glaciares e Indignados No al TPP-11, junto a Confucam organización de personas mayores. Algunas de las fundaciones fueron: Chile Sustentable, Fundación Daya, Fundación Equidad. Múltiples colectivos feministas como  la coordinadora Feminista 8M y decenas de  asambleas territoriales, se añadieron a esta iniciativa. Se sumaron a estas colectividades   organizaciones de mujeres, redes ambientales, animalistas y defensores del agua  de las regiones de Antofagasta, Arica y Parinacota, Coquimbo, Valparaíso, O´Higgins, Maule, Ñuble, BioBio, Araucanía, los Ríos, Aysén y Magallanes.

La carta contó también con la adhesión de organizaciones estudiantiles entre las que destaca el Consejo de presidentas y presidentas de la Universidad de La Frontera. Igualmente algunas de las organizaciones indígenas firmantes fueron: el Comité Nacional de los 63 Pueblos Indígenas, la Coordinación Feria Walung Kurarewe, Pueblos Indígenas Unidos de la Cuenca del Tarapacá, y Meli Witran Mapu.

Entre las organizaciones internacionales que se sumaron a la petición se encuentra América Latina Mejor sin TLC, Grupo ETC, Grain, Acción por la Biodiversidad, Latindadd, Red de Ecología Social Uruguay, Ecuador Decide No al TLC.
