Chile Mejor sin TLC rechaza llamado de expresidentes de la CPC a reactivar TPP-11

Hoy las verdaderas prioridades del país están en temas como salud pública, alimentación y la vida de las personas. Sería un atentado directo hacia nuestro sistema de salud y el enfrentamiento de la crisis sanitaria. 

Enérgico repudio y preocupación causó entre las organizaciones sociales la  carta enviada a El Mercurio por parte de los expresidentes de la CPC: Juan Claro y Rafael Guilisasti. En ésta los empresarios llaman a acelerar el trámite de aprobación del TPP-11, ya que para ellos “al mantener en pausa la votación de sala, el Senado está privando al país de un instrumento fundamental para enfrentar su recuperación económica”.

Lucía Sepúlveda, integrante de la Red de Acción en Plaguicidas y sus alternativas, condenó tajantemente el oportunismo mendaz de quienes empujan sus intereses particulares aun en lo más profundo de la crisis sanitaria que padece el país, uno que aparece en los rankings de los peores países en hacer frente al Covid-19. 

“Pasándose de vivos, tal y como dicta el manual del empresario rentista, poco innovador, siempre oportunista, adicto al extractivismo corruptor y perezoso que campea a sus anchas en Chile” condenó la activista. Además agregó que votar el TPP-11 en este contexto, sólo aumentará la furia del pueblo que estallará con fuerza cuando la pandemia sea controlada. 

Por su parte, Tomás Lagomarsino, presidente de Fundación Equidad apunta a lo errado que sería impulsar la ratificación del TPP-11 en el Congreso, ya que este acuerdo favorece la concentración en el mercado de medicamentos entorpeciendo el abastecimiento de fármacos y tratamientos para contrarrestar esta y otras pandemias.

 «En tiempos donde el acceso a los medicamentos y vacunas que se desarrollen para enfrentar al Covid-19 es muy importante, plantear avanzar en el TPP-11 que fortalece los monopolios farmacéuticos va en la línea equivocada y, me atrevería a decir, es un atentado directo hacia nuestro sistema de salud y el enfrentamiento de la crisis sanitaria», indicó el médico y dirigente de Confusam Viña del Mar.

Lucía Sepúlveda, llamó a mantenerse atentas a las acciones del gobierno que apunten en dirección opuesta a las preocupaciones de la ciudadanía, “estamos alerta porque nuevamente los empresarios le han dado órdenes al gobierno de reactivar la votación en el Senado del TPP-11, y quién sabe si terminarán haciendo todo lo que la clase empresarial le está dictando con la excusa de reactivar la economía, sin atender ni escuchar sugerencias acerca de las verdaderas prioridades del país, que hoy están en temas como salud pública, alimentación y la vida de las personas que integran la población del territorio. Esas son las necesidades verdaderas”, señaló la dirigenta.
