Comunicado | Convocan a movilizarse el 8 marzo en rechazo a la firma del TPP-11 por el gobierno de Michelle Bachelet
Los 11 socios del Acuerdo transpacífico TPP-11 que incluye a Australia, Brunéi, Canadá, Japón, Malasia, México, Nueva Zelanda, Perú, Singapur y Vietnam, confirmaron que la firma del tratado se realizará el 8 de marzo en Chile.
Organizaciones de distinta índole participantes de la Plataforma Chile mejor sin TLC han mostrado su rechazo frente a la decisión del gobierno de Bachelet de firmar el Acuerdo Transpacífico TPP-11. a pocos días antes de terminar su mandato y coincidiendo con la conmemoración del Día internacional de la Mujer.
Francisca Rodriguez de la Asociación Nacional de Mujeres Rurales e Indígenas ANAMURI comentó que: “Nosotras estamos consternadas e impactadas de que justo para el día internacional de la mujer un Gobierno presidido por una mujer esté firmando las cadenas de Chile. Por lo tanto, para ANAMURI el 8 de marzo será un día de resistencia contra el TPP. El 8 de marzo tiene otra connotación para las mujeres hoy, ya no solo contra el patriarcado, también es contra esta violencia económica dominante que se presta para explotar mucho más a las mujeres”, indicó.
Marco Kremerman de Fundación Sol, indica que “la firma del TPP 11 representa un impulso importante del Gobierno de Chile para firmar tratados de libre comercio promocionando que van a ser exitosos para toda la población, pero no hay evidencia empírica de que haya sido así con los TLC anteriores. En estos acuerdos se terminan integrando el capital, los grupos económicos de los países, por eso no es de extrañar que los procesos para suscribir estos acuerdos sean poco democráticos y hayan barreras para conocer lo que se está firmando”, comentó.
